Hunger is a call for solidarity. Our monthly nutrition and dignity packs support those in crisis, including LGBTIAQ+ individuals living with HIV/AIDS, coping with chronic illness, unemployed, and unhoused.
The demand for this service remains high, with 500 clients currently served. However, due to financial constraints, we've reached capacity and can't sustain the current demand.
It costs R369 per month to provide one person with a nutritional and dignity support pack, offering immediate assistance to those affected by food hunger and income insecurity.
Join us in solidarity for food security and justice. For inquiries or assistance, reach out to our social media channels, email the address on the poster, or call the office at 021 422 0255.
The Queer Food Growing Collective is an initiative aligned with our commitment to addressing hunger and fostering resilience. Our self-managed sites on the Cape Flats and in Paarl, led by community members, empower individuals to take charge of their food sources. This collective promotes self-sufficiency, contributing to broader efforts for food justice by cultivating produce. Join us in sowing the seeds of empowerment, nurturing both individuals and the community at large towards a more sustainable and just future.
