Meet our board

Guiding the Vision, Driving Impact

Triangle Project's management board is at the helm, steering the organisation's operations and shaping its strategic vision.

Sarita Ranchod

Chairperson

Sarita is co-founder and co-executive director of Under the Rainbow – Creative Strategies for Positive Change, an international feminist social change practice. She supports organisations with a global remit to become more equitable and inclusive through critical engagement with how power functions through practices, cultures, people, and policies. She has more than 25 years of experience working at the intersections of gender, racial justice, and social inclusion; feminist movement building; and the rights of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people. She works with local and international NGOs, UN agencies, philanthropies, research, and academic entities. Sarita is also a writer and sculptor.

Lorenzo Wakefield

Board Member

Holds a master's degree in international criminal and human rights law. He currently works as a program officer at the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, where he manages the Foundation's justice grantmaking in Africa. He previously worked at the Open Society Foundation for South Africa, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the South African Parliament.

Tshegofatso Sekgwele

Treasurer

Tshegofatso Sekgwele, brings a  multifaceted perspective with over nine years of experience in the finance and investment sector, coupled with experience in the NGO sphere as previous Secretary General and Deputy President of the Association of South African Black Actuarial professionals. This experience equips Tshegofatso with a nuanced understanding of organisational dynamics, financial stewardship, and the broader landscape of social impact. She is passionate about leveraging her skills to contribute to LGBTQIA+ rights and opportunities, ensuring sound financial management and sustainable growth for the organisation.

Leigh-Ann Naidoo

Board Member

Leigh-Ann Naidoo is an educationalist who works at the University of Cape Town, School of Education. She represented South Africa in beach volleyball at the 2004 Athens Olympics, where she was one of a handful of out, queer Olympians and is also an ambassador for the Federation of Gay Games. She has worked inside and outside of the formal education system. She was involved in #RhodesMustFall and #FeesMustFall struggles and formed part of the 2016 all women international flotilla mission that attempted to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza. She is interested in knowledge production outside of the confines of the academic project and is working collectively to try and develop daily pedagogies that confront the violences that are the reality of the majority of people on the planet.
